TEACHER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES
We just can’t achieve anything without teachers’ supports. If we really want to strengthen our public school system, we should give support to our teachers in all possible ways.
Again and again it is reiterated that in our country English is unnecessarily related with good education. So if we are able to impart good English to our public schools then enrolment in public schools will be improved. In order to bring good English to our public schools, we just can’t omit the importance of teachers working in such schools.

Secondly, we firmly believe that Continuous Professional Development will bring good results. To achieve this we should encourage our teachers to write Cambridge
All these efforts are aimed to test their present level and encourage them to uplift themselves for higher levels. This will develop their confidence in their functional areas. It will not be an exaggeration if we say many teachers do not know how to improve their proficiency.
Finally, expertise from teacher trainers should be exploited. For this we decided to conduct one day programmes for public school teachers in various parts of Coimbatore District. In our district we have 1248 schools
